Greg & Mindy

Hello family:

This past weekend Mindy was in utah with Nicolas to go to Conference, so Amelia & I hung out together. We had lots of fun and spent all of Mindy’s household budget while she was gone.

On Thursday and Friday Amelia stayed with some friends during the day and I picked her up at night. The first night we went to Cici’s pizza and she was free, so the 2 of us ate all you can eat pizza for $5. good dessert pizza too! Then we bought a new double stroller which I’m pretty excited about. Even though Mindy doesn’t like them, I think sit-n-stand strollers are the best. Plus it was on clearance and I had a coupon… Amelia loves it! We’ll see if Mindy keeps it. (btw Mindy—the strollers in the trunk… J)

On Friday we went to Home Depot and to Del Taco. Yummy food, which if you go to 3 times and mail in the receipts from Amex you get free movie tickets. (see deltaco.com)

On Saturday we cleaned up/ messed up around the house and went to Conference. For priesthood this guy named Henry Gonzalez called the bishop and asked for a ride from his hotel (he’s a pilot) while he’s in town. I gave him a ride and he bought Amelia a milk shake afterwards.

Also on Saturday it was half price day at Goodwill, which is the best place to get new clothes for work and new bikes too. I found a bike for $12.50 after discount, and it even works. I rode it to work this morning (just switched jobs to downtown instead of the factory) and it only took me 9 minutes to commute. I left the goodwill pricetag on the bike so nobody’s tempted to steal it.

Melinda is back home now, and I’m glad because I have found it’s impossible to do anything of value AND watch a child at the same time. (As Elder Ballard warned in his talk on Sunday). I gave up on the doing anything of value goal, so the house is pretty much a disaster. That’ll teach her to leave me alone for a weekend… Jjk.
