Vivian & David

January seemed to have a theme of ‘new’ -- A new year, a new month, and we received news that our new Atlanta Temple will be dedicated on May 1st and the open house will be from April 9th through the 23rd.
The first week of January was focused on Steve as he was in the hospital for six days because of his violent vomiting. We are so thankful Stephanie lived close by and went to visit him and be with him every single day. We learned he had a two year old stomach bacteria and a stomach virus. Now he has moved into his new apartment and began his new semester at school.
After a Saturday's scout training class held in the area of where Kathleen Patterson Anderson's daughter, Trisha Vess and family live, we got to meet up at a food court and got to meet each other for the first time.
Another new thing is that we got a big snow storm that kept us in, and the mailman out four days. I was thankful for this gift of time because appointments and classes were postponed or cancelled. However, Gregory and Melinda's weekend trip here was shortened, but we got to have Amelia, Nicolas, and Charlie here while Gregory & Melinda enjoyed their Christmas gift of The Beauty and The Beast at the Fox Theatre.
Grant, our oldest grandchild, had his 8th birthday and is now preparing to be baptized in the 5th of February.

Our American Mothers board meetings were held in San Antonio, Texas this year. Our hotel was on the Riverwalk, we had lovely weather and the meetings were good. I enjoyed them much more this time because I did not have to do a presentation to the board like I did last time as I was the chairmen presenting a new charter policy to be adopted.
When I got home, I had a new cell phone. I am trying to learn about it piggy-backed on trying to learn about my new computer with the new email system and other programs on it. I don't know about you, but trying to keep up with new technology can be overwhelming.
This month/this year marks the tenth anniversary of Mom's passing.
Last new thing of the month is our ward got a new bishopric yesterday. David is still the ward clerk.
