David & Connie

Well the New Year was great..... but still can't believe it 2011.
David has been busy which is always good.
In August when football starts he always says "well the year is over" because time goes so fast when he is watching football. He missed having Reid come watch as often this year but they were real busy starting their new business. It is going well for them. However he did still have time to make his picks. David and he every week go through the games and say who is going to win.... Reid won (again) he picked 5 more wins than David so David had to take us to dinner....Reid picked a Mexican place to go. It was good, plus a nice break. For Laura and I it’s a win win.... we get a date either way! They are now picking for playoffs.... and YEAH David won.... I think he hates losing more than Reid does so it's good he gets to win once in a while.
January starts our Ward conferences. It's always fun to go and see all the children. It’s interesting to see how different the same thing can be. We have a good stake.
It's been a fun month in getting to see people. Van and Susie Schulthies came and stayed with Reid and Laura but we got to go and visit and see them. We had a marshmallow roast in their back yard, that's fun. The kids love it. Then they had Weston and his family come and stay. It seems so funny that these kids are grown up Mommies and Daddies, they should still be young. Then Julie and Mckae had a reception down here which ended up being the same one Weston had come down for, small world. It’s always nice when they come and stay, so enjoy them. They took us out to dinner for David's birthday. Then Sunday evening Justin & Fiola came to join us/them for French fries and milk shakes. Then to top it all off Jerry and Sheila came to spend a couple of days with us. Jerry went to work with David and Sheila and I went and visited the grandkids and had lunch with Angie.


Work and more church meetings... a highlight meeting was Sister Wixom of the General Primary board came to Las Vegas to train...we got to meet and eat with her during a 5 hour day! It was great.
