Owen & Sharon

Sorry we missed July's entry! We went to Logan for the fourth of July Holiday weekend. It was a lot of fun. Andrea and Cynthia ran in a 10K marathon. We rooted them on and watched them cross the finish line. Other activities included fireworks, lots of good food, chatting. Attending an antique car show followed by the cars cruising Main Street in Logan.
The rest of July involved remodeling part of the basement into an office for Owen (my man cave) so Sharon can have her own office upstairs. These projects always take a lot longer than you plan on. We are still working on it. Seems like most of the old walls, floor, and ceiling are not level, plumb, or true. Or there are some other obstacles to work around. Arhhh!!!!

August was a fun month. The first week in August our kids and grand kids went to the Oregon Coast. Nathan found a big summer rental home on a lake that was big enough to sleep all of us. Plus it had a kitchen so we took turns preparing meals. The house had a dock with a canoe, paddle boat and kayak which the kids had lots of fun playing in. We also played on the ocean beach, fished for crabs, visited a historic light house, toured sites, played games, and the most fun of all was riding in a big sand dune buggy on huge sand dunes along the coast. What a thrill!. Everyone enjoyed it and we are all still getting sand out of our ears, hair clothes, etc. But what a blast!

The next week we went to a family reunion of Sharon's cousins on her Mother’s side. It was held at a cousin’s summer cabin in Star Valley, WY near Jackson. We enjoyed it. Sharon enjoyed seeing most of her cousins again.

While there we took in a variety Cowboy Show and BBQ at Jackson.

Sharon started back working at the school last week. Hard to get back into the grind!
