Hi Family,
We have continued to have a cool, overcast month of May. Also, we have missed not seeing the sun that much this winter and spring. Well, school was out for Sharon on the 21st. Happy summer days ahead. Time for garden planting and enjoying the vegetables. There has been a bountiful harvest of spinach and lettuce thus far. The neighbors are good to help us eat the extra produce.

Talking about neighbors our dear Jean Alexander passed away. Her funeral was today June 3, she was 78. She was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year. She passed away in her sleep. Jean had not been in any pain. The funeral services were at the Nazarene Church in Nyssa. Jean graduated from Nyssa HS in 1950. She was a twin. Harold and Jean had been married for 56 years.
Jean and her daughters visited her homeland of Norway a few years ago. (Remembered visiting Jean and Harold several times last summer to share our produces with them.) She would show me pictures of Norway and her family. There was an excellent video being played before the funeral which were the highlights of her life.

We did buy a planter basket for her funeral. Signed the card from the Berrett Family. The total cost was $25.
We aren't wanting any reimbursement, but hope that it's okay we included the family. You know we live where there are getting to be many older neighbors with few younger ones moving to the country. We best all love life.
