Tomorrow is Feb 29th.....Hum Leap year!!
February was spent visiting family.
We attended a bridal shower for Cynthia that was hosted by her sisters. We had the chance to meet and visit many of Cyn's friends. She had a good turnout and we even got to visit with a few of you! While we were there we did some fun things too--loved Pat's BBQ!! Their pork ribs are fantastic!
One weekend we visited Denise and Nathan in Rexburg. Nathan really likes his job there--working on campus has lots of perks. We went bowling with them and used the gutter rails to help not only buddy, but also Grandma and Grandpa! It is really fun to watch him bowl with his six pound ball--he sticks his tongue all the way out over his lip and tries to get the rolling ball to move one direction or another by waving his arm while the ball rolls to the pins. Afterwards we went to Big Judd’s where they serve a hamburger about one foot in diameter. We chose to buy one and cut it four ways! Still a big meal.
Saturday morning we went to the Rexburg temple and attended a session. We really enjoyed seeing college students conduct most of the sessions! Kind of refreshing. Also to realize that these students are our future leaders. After our session, I had a chance to visit with the session coordinator and he told me that this is the first Temple to be designed by a non-member. He also said that the temple was number two in the Church in the number of baptisms performed--a lot of the endowed students perform then.
The Routson’s like where they live because it is out of town and their rental house is on a large lot. Lots of room for kids to play. While we were there it snowed and one of the neighbors got out his snowmobile and gave the kids rides. They loved it
