Vivian & David

We flew to Salt Lake City for Grant's baptism which was held on the 5th of February. He was baptized and confirmed by his father, Matt Sorensen. The baptism was held in the stake center sharing the parking lot with the Mt. Timpanogas Temple. Grant was ready. Afterwards, Stephanie had an open house in their home. The day was special with family including Lila and Mark, Cynthia, Reta and Ron, and Angie with Brian.
While we were in Salt Lake City, we also got to attend a Salt Lake City Temple session, and have a FHE dinner with the Utah Dibb siblings.
At home, I spent some extra time with my friend, Jeanne from Peachtree Corners, in the days before the death of her mother. Her daughters and brothers were able to come for the funeral.
During my ward conference visit to the Hamilton Mill Ward, I heard Rick Berrett's children’s names read off as leaders in the YW/YM classes. The family was not there, but I am trying to contact him to see if we can get together since we are related. Both his and my former ward/stake met in the same building.
Our monthly FHE group this month had a Valentine's theme and that was fun.
For Georgia Mothers, we had our meeting wherein our new Mother of the Year and the Young Mother were announced. Also our new Books for Babies have been printed and I helped get over 600 donated that will go to several maternity hospitals this next quarter.
A fun thing was getting to have a former Wellington Lake neighbor come up and we had lunch together, and she helped me deliver a pie to my friend Janet Zabriskie (whose husband had died exactly one year ago).
We had fun having Amelia and Nicolas come and stay with us for three days while Gregory & Melinda were going to New Orleans for a wedding. We lucked out in that the Ringling/Barnum-Bailey Circus was in town and we all got to go and we had loads of fun together over the weekend.
February is the month for the Blue & Gold Banquets and I got to attend two of them. Our RS had a good couponing class.
It has warmed up and David has gotten to play some long days of golf with Tyler Plewe, some of his friends, and his golf group during this past week. We have also done a little bit in our yard, and I am looking forward to more warm weather.
