David & Connie

What a great month.... Brian and Afton's anniversary, Afton's birthday, Braden's birthday, Laura's birthday, Trevor's baptism and pinewood derby, Valentine’s Day. OHHH and Super BOWL! How could I forget?
I got 2 new counselors and a new secretary for primary...I'm excited. Although I took one of David's ward missionaries so he wasn't too excited.
We went to celebrate Braden's birthday with yummy cake and ice cream the first Sunday of the month. It’s amazing how fast they turn one.
SUPERBOWL Monday was nice; with Reid being self-employed we didn't start until 6:30 AM instead of the 4:00 AM time.... Brielle had stayed the night so I made a "Steelers dress". I taught her to say "go Steelers" Grandpa liked it, but Dad told her he didn't like the Steelers... poor little girl was heartbroken. But not as heartbroken as David was when Green Bay won.....
The highlight of course was getting to go to Texas and see our Texan grandbabies, (and kids!) We flew into San Antonio where we stayed with Brian and his family. We got to go to "Chucky Cheese", I learned his name is Charles Entertainment Cheese!!! =*) Just a trivia fact.
Then on Friday I flew to Dallas and David rode with Brian and his family. It was a great, "little" reunion. Then it was Trevor's baptism on Saturday. They do it by wards so it was just Trevor. The church pipes had broken and they were just filling the font when we were suppose to be starting, so they only filled it to Darin's calves. He ended up having to dunk him 4 times, in COLD water. When Darin went to do it the 4th time Trevor said no I don't want to..... but the 4th time was good, so he’s official. Then his granddad (Darin's dad) confirmed him. Everyone came back to Jo's house for sloppy joes, potatoe salad, tossed salad, chips, and salsa, guacamole, and cake.... there were 30 of us. It was fun. The kids had a ball.
Sunday Brian and Afton had to head home, I hated to see them leave. It was such a nice weekend, just too short. The kids have all grown so much. David flew out Monday night, but Trevor was having his first pinewood derby on Tuesday so I stayed until Wednesday morning. Which was great; Trevor's car did good. He took 3rd. On the last race when Darin got the car he noticed the front wheel was loose. Not sure when that happened so he might could have got 1st. But he was excited. It was hard leaving the 8 grandkids in Texas, (oh and their Moms and Dads) but thank heavens for Skype and Facebook to see what’s happening with them. Glad I'm in the electronic age.
We have been SO blessed with David's work. He has been busy the last couple of weeks. The Lord is so good to us.
Angie's Brian just bought a house so David has been over there helping out some with electrical, and plumbing. It’s closer to our side of town so we like that!
