Reta & Ron

July started with the Hansen Family Reunion in Lava Hot Springs.

All the kids and grand kids were in attendance. It was great to have everyone there and enjoy just being together.

The reunion was of historical nature. We went to the cemeteries where Daddy Hansen and his 2 wives were buried, along with other members of his family.

We did what they call the Hatch Loop. We saw the old school house that they went to school in.
the original log cabins are still around and we got to take a peek inside on them.

We went to the town of Chesterfield that they are restoring out in the middle of nowhere.
The Daughters of Utah Pioneers had a 50 yr lease on the church building which expired this year.

The church took it back and they contributed funds to replace the roof on it. It was used as a museum but they have taken everything out of it now. Emily - Trav's wife sat down at the organ and played several tunes on it for us.

Overall it was a fun time to visit with relatives and catch up on everyone's life.
Oh, the hot springs weren't bad either.

Jared spent a lot of time researching and preparing handouts for it. Thanks Jared for all your effort.

Trav and Emily had just moved into a new place in Logan right before the reunion. So, we crashed and burned there coming and going to the reunion. Thanks for letting us do that.

They have a really nice house, nice neighborhood, and ward. It has turned out to be a great move for them, even though it started out rocky.

Ron went back to Parma the middle of the month to start getting the combine ready to go one last time. He is up there plugging away at it.

Janna, Carter and I went to the Spanish Fork rodeo with Jeff, Kristie and Fam.

Spanish Fork does the 24th of July in style. Have a big parade, and all the festivities that go with it.

That pretty much sums up the month of July.
