Lila & Mark

With Mark growing up in Provo, its tradition to participate in

the 4th of July activities. We started off with a Fireside at the Marriott Center where Steve Young was the guest speaker and they brought in several LDS musical artists. The entire evening was super great. The US Army Band held a concert in the Tabernacle which was filled with Patriotic and American songs. Of course, it isn't the 4th unless you go to the parade where we met up with several friends. Marla and a friend ran the 5K as part of the pre parade festivities.

Marissa drove home for her summer break from school so Marla and I met her in Las Vegas and then we attended "Lion King". The music, costumes, stage effects, etc., were incredible. A definite thumbs up on that activity. Now that we're all home, Marissa and I are just hanging out and letting her kick back.

And the best part of July is the warm weather! It’s great to be able to go outside and enjoy all the smells, colors, flowers, sunsets, visiting with neighbors while out and about on walks, and BBQ's. Somehow the extra daylight hours energizes the body. As you can tell, July is one of my favorite months of the year. Enjoy...
