It seems like everyday in the month of July was packed with at least two or three things to do. I guess everyone wants to take advantage of the long warm days.
Adam and Stephanie invited us to attend the Melba 4th of July parade which was really well attended. I couldn’t believe how many people there were there. We were able to watch fireworks in all four directions right from their lawn, so that was fun.

Matt and Pyper hosted a 4th of July BBQ at their house and everyone had a good time there as well. Matt always puts on a good fireworks show right from his basketball court.

We went to one of Bren’s T Ball games and saw what a good little player she is; she is very competitive too and just loves playing.

We went over to Eastern ID to see Andy and Amy’s families. Megan invited us to dinner up at their family ranch which was a lot of fun. At Amy’s the boys all went fishing and had a great time doing that. Amy and I had fun just being at her house doing girl things. We brought Payson back with us for a couple of day so the rest of them could ride bikes in Sun Valley.

The Mia Maid girls had an all night sleep over which just about wore me out and then a couple of days later we had an adult ward BBQ and pool party.

We had a survivor dinner for the ward and they showed a video of the trek, so it was fun to see all of that captured on film. It was hard to see on film just how cold it was, but they did a great job of capturing the moments all along the way.

Jessica hurt her neck while exercising so I was able to help take care of Macy for a few days, she was a real sweetheart and we had a lot of fun together.

The trek kids did baptisms at 5:30 on Saturday morning on the 24th, had a breakfast right after that, and then we left at 10:00 and took some friends four wheeling with us up above Idaho City, we didn’t get back until late so that was another busy Saturday. I think Dean finally got home about 9:00 on Sunday the 25th from doing Bishop stuff. And he is helping a family in the ward move out on Saturday the 31st.

Andy and Megan came to spend a few days with us the last week of July and we had fun going to the zoo and park. We always love having them come and getting to spend time with them. They are all growing up way too fast.

Just like all of you we seem to stay pretty busy, but what would our lives look like without family, friends and the gospel? We are thankful we have the time and health to be involved and are grateful for the blessings that come our way. Hope you all have a wonderful month of August, as pretty soon we will be complaining about the cold weather and short days.
