Vivian & David

Well my June news can be summed in one word: "Traveling".

Here's a summary:
On the 3rd I flew to Minneapolis to help Stephanie with a garage sale. I got to be with her family and Rebecca’s.

On Friday, the 11th, with David we drove to Nashville and we were there for Amelia's 5th birthday party and the weekend.

On the 14th we drove to Branson, Missouri. Owen and Sharon came, too and we had lots of fun with them seeing the shows, etc. Some Dibb siblings were there, too.
From here on the 17th we drove up to Independence, MO for a Dibb Family Reunion. Donna and Terrell are serving their mission there. We got to visit several historical sites.

From here we drove to Minneapolis and got to be the Sorensen's and Molanphy's for a week of good times together. Then home -- and now I'm doing laundry, etc. Love you, Vivian

We were challenged in a Book of Mormon class to share a scripture with our families each month.
So I’d like to begin with this quote from Pres. Spencer W. Kimball:

"Another day dawned, another soul with passionate yearning prayed for divine guidance. A spot of hidden solitude was found, knees were bended, hearts were humbled, pleadings were voiced, and a light brighter than the noonday sun illuminated the world -- the curtain never to be closed again, the gate never again to be slammed, this light never again to be extinguished. A young lad of incomparable faith broke the spell, shattered the 'heavens of iron' and reestablished communication. Heaven kissed the earth, light dissipated the darkness, and God again spake to man revealing 'his secret unto his servants the prophets.' (Amos 3:7) A new prophet was in the land, and through him God set up his kingdom -- a kingdom never to be destroyed nor left to another people -- a kingdom that will stand forever."

How blessed we are to be members of His church and to have the scriptures and the writings of the prophets. May we all let the light shine in our hearts and remember the great good we can do, if only by being grateful and being cheerful and being a friend to those in need.
