David & Connie

Well the first week of June I didn't hardly get to see David. I spent it in the hospital with Mom. Her surgery went well, but she is very sore. Trying to keep her upbeat and positive is kind of tricky. They so hate not being able to do things for themselves.

Then on Saturday we had a farewell, for Jo and kids, and a birthday dinner for Natalie. It was fun. We went to Laura's and ate and swam. Julie and Mckae came in town so that was a great surprise. I am really going to miss Jo and her help with Mom. AND of course the little munchkins.

Then David made a quick trip to St George, to see Dale and family ....and attend the blessing of Brylee.

Well it was quite a week, between work and hospital trips, and then Saturday was load the truck day. At first David did not think it was going to fit, he thought 2 trucks would be more like it, but with a lot of stuffed in stacked in every spot, and they got everything they wanted in the trailer. Daysie and I watched.

Then Saturday night Sadie and I went to visit Mom, she is such a character but she does NOT like elevators.... I think anyone that saw her would have thought I was trying to kidnap her... She did fine the first trip but not after that.... she is so funny.

Sunday Darin's Dad and family had a "farewell" dinner/father's blessings for Jo and Darin. It was nice, but emotional drain time. I will be glad when they are “safely" in Texas! It's hard to see them go but I know they'll do great wherever they are.

Mom has been here TRYING to stay off her leg. Just one problem, she doesn't grasp the concept of not putting weight on it and if you lift the good leg it automatically puts weight on the bad leg!!!! We have a therapist that comes to work with her. She's doing pretty good.

Our Stake did an "EFG", especially for girls, for the activity day girls that I have been involved with. It was the 25th and 26th. There were classes and activities. It went really well, and come to find out we had the same theme as EFY this year....talk about great minds! =*)

I sold my pop up trailer...that was SAD. I had told Julie that Bart and I will have to go with them now in their motor home! Mom loves camping. But it was a lot of work to set it up and Jo moved and Laura hasn't come the last couple of times to help.

Father's Day was nice. David had dinner with me and Mom then Schulthies's came over and brought dessert and we watched a video. Then Sadie ladie stayed the night... she's so funny.

Texas here I come....Mom and I flew to Dallas where we are staying with Jo a couple of days and then we are driving up to Austin to see Brian and family. Tatum is being blessed Sunday. David stayed home...he thinks he needs to work work work....which I am thankful for, but it would have been fun to have him come. Betty Jo really wished he would have come. She has lots of "electrical" honey do jobs for him! =*)

Happy independence day to you all!
