April always starts off great with General Conference and being able to listen to their words of counsel. It was an extra bonus to have it fall on Easter weekend as well.

On April 16 I had a chance to meet up with Elaine and cousins Kathleen and Earlene for our annual Cousin Luncheon. Of course none of us changed from last year, we're still looking as young as ever. Their families are doing well and continue to grow.

The last week of the month I was able to attend the National Genealogical Society Conference that was being held in Salt Lake City, The last time it was held in SLC was 20+ years ago. Family Search was a co-sponsor and they didn't skip a beat in being prepared for the 2000+ attendees and things they had to offer. One evening an event was held at the Conference Center called "An Evening Celebration of Family History". Pres. Eyring and David McCullough were the main speakers. The Tabernacle choir performed, and Family Search had prepared about six 5-minute video clips of super touching family history stories. I don't think there was a dry eye in the audience when the evening was over. It was an extremely touching event through music, word, and media.
