What a great conference. We are so blessed to have the church in our lives. I LOVE conference weekend. It used to be because there was no church, but now I just enjoy hearing the talks and songs. It was especially fun on Saturday when they sang so many Primary songs. It's always interesting to see a focus or theme. Although I didn't get one live, it is fun to read and see if I see one. What did you all see?

It was great having it on Easter which is such a special day anyway. We had the kids over for dinner. That’s always fun, the kids are getting so big and love to play with each other. Each has their own little personalities that's for sure. Then we sent grandpa upstairs to watch the 2nd session so we didn't hear "shhhshhh" all the way through it... a room full of toddlers isn't the most conducive to "quiet". That way we ALL enjoyed it. =*) We missed having our Texas kids here, and it will be doubly bad when the other 4 move there.

Thanks Lila for sharing the Chadwick family with us. That was great.

Mom had her 82nd birthday! We went to lunch; she's so funny she chose Marie Calendars. Someplace we never go. But it was nice. She is doing good, but has her struggles.

We had a special Day Camp temple session at 5:30 AM that we went to. David is a Day Camp teacher - wood working. He's going to teach them about tools and then build a "slider box" with them. We combine with another stake so there are 250 boys. Plus one community pack. It’s the week of the 15th. David had fun....although he learned that 8 year olds don't exactly do what you are wanting them to... he pulled out a lot of nails. He was surprised how many ADULTS (that were den walkers) hadn't probably ever hammered before let alone the boys.

Betty Jo had a surprise visit from Julie for her birthday so we went to Red Robin's and while we were there we decided it would be fun to go on a cruise.... so we extended the invite to all of the girls on my side of the family. 14 of us will be going the weekend of May 14th, a great mother's day belated present.

David was released as Gospel Principles teacher...his most favorite calling. However he is still involved with it. They called him to be the Ward mission leader... I think this is his third time around (course different wards). And to make it even better he went to a meeting Sunday and the Bishopric counselor told him the Stake is going to take missionary work off of the back burner and bring it to the forefront. They want to see more happening there.... so "pressure, pressure" on the ward mission leader. But he can handle it; he'll do a good job.

I love tending the grandkids...its nice when the Mom's and Dad's decide they need a break... although Betty Jo has had a bout of flu at her house, so they were throwing up while I watched them the last time.... She is really missing her husband.... only 4 1/2 more weeks..... good for her, bad for grandma!
