David & Connie

WOW 20 10....or two thousand and 10. The big debate. That is so amazing we are in this year. I remember 30 years ago that sounded FOREVER away!

We started the first day off of the New Year trying to get the "Single Adults" to quit dancing and go home! David was running coat check so we had to wait; finally at 1:45 am with only 3 coats left he said "they'll just have to battle it out for themselves, let’s go". Then the rest of the day was spent sleeping, and sitting together watching TV! It was GREAT.

Then back to work on Monday, only to discover my washer had broke! Last month the fridge. Hum we must be getting old. But David works with an appliance guy for parts and he had a nice used one.
We had a great FHE at the Schulthies' with dinner and the Boise State Tostitos bowl game!

Jan 6th! Angie's 34th birthday. Jo, Laura, and families, Mom and I all went to Henderson to meet Brian and Angie at Chuck E Cheese for a birthday celebration. It was fun, games, pizza, and cotton candy. What more could you want!

Reid, Laura, Jo and Darin all went to see "Avatar". So I got to babysit the Schulthies girls and Daisy. It’s always fun to get to do that.

David and I spent 7 hours taking out some shelves and putting together the rotating can rack the kids gave us for Christmas. Then I spent the next 2 days organizing.... It looks great, but one thing I can say is that I'm glad I just have a little pantry!!!!
David spoke at a baptism for one of the girls that were getting baptized from his class.

It's hard to believe it is a new year, but realize it is, so football is soon to be over. Laura says "it’s about time" however I did not think it was sooooo bad. Course those poor little (innocent) Schulthies girls get blamed for everything Grandpa can't find...its funny, but he doesn't think so. And he really doesn't think so when I am just laughing and he can't find it! He was always saying "I'm going to name our next kid "not me" so someone would have the "blame" for stuff. The kids would always say "not me" when dad asked "WHO" did something... He always thought it would be easy when the kids were gone, however now, I'm old with no memory and there are GRANDKIDS!!! Poor guy.

We have had lots of rain more than the whole year last year. It's been great. David enjoys watching FOX and shaking his head at Obama".... I hope we survive his leadership.... The best was the interview when he was speechless on the state of the union that he wasn't giving any Job answers... he just stammered and laughed...
