Greg & Melinda's April

Berretts-- This month has been fabulous. The theme has been running. Nicolas has started running, Melinda ran a marathon, Amelia ran part of the marathon, and I ran a 5k. For those of you who don't know the metric system, you'll just have to believe me when I say a 5k is just a little shorter than a marathon. Melinda did fabulous of course, and I was a little embarrassed to be running a much shorter race. I was pretty excited though, because I actually got first place in my age group (the old man group). So it was a tiny race, not many people, but I'll take it nonetheless.... :) That's seriously the first time I've placed first in any race since elementary school's field day when Graham tripped at the finish line and I won... :)

We're excited for May because we're going to South Africa to visit Mom and Dad. we're leaving the kids with some family for 10 days. hooray!
