David & Connie

Love April....
Spring is always fun.... It brings the Clark County fair and rodeo... David and I go all 3 nights to the rodeo. Friday night we stayed in Hurricane with Julie and Mckae and then we all went to the rodeo Saturday. We met up with Justin and Fiola and all went together. Little Braden was my rodeo partner...He just sat so good on my lap for the whole rodeo, didn't make a peep.
We had a great visit with Stephanie Sorensen and her family. And she was good enough to even volunteer to help me with day camp...little did she know I would take her up on it! We "vinyl lettered" swords for the "knighting" of my cubs that had earned their religious knot. In the past about three or so a year get them; this year with our challenge to do it, we had 88 earn it. So that was awesome... (the boys loved the swords, I've heard lots of comments on it).
Saturday was the day David, Justin and Brian Buckles taught the "craftsman" class. They made marshmallow guns, taught about electricity and had them wire a circuit. They did great. We had 145 boys attend the camp. It was a lot of fun. By the end of the day I was ready for bed....too old for this kind of stuff. =*)
I had a ton of work to catch up on seems how I'd taken the week off to get ready for day camp. So that was the next week. It was spring break and I got to take the girls to lunch. We went to Chuck E Cheese; gross pizza but they love to play.
Brian had called Thursday and said he and Afton were talking in church Sunday and then little Andi was getting operated on Wednesday. I decided that would be a good time to go and visit. So I flew to Texas Friday. Betty Jo drove down for the weekend... Poor Afton had a FULL house. 8 kids under 8 but we all had a riot. Saturday the bunny came and brought the Berrett boys matching ties that she'd made and a little matching T-shirt dress, then Afton hid the eggs the bunny brought; the kids had fun finding them.
Sunday Brian and Afton did a great job on their talks. Then there was a bonus treat for me as Jax gave a talk in primary. He did great too. David went to the Schulthies for Easter, it’s nice to have somebody to look after him when I'm gone!
Spent the week in humid Texas, but it was a lot of fun. Little Andi did great with her surgery we are so blessed. I got to see Brian play a softball game. Played with the kids and ended by going to the San Antonio zoo before heading home.
David was busy at home. Had breakfast with Laura a couple of days. Plus went to Hanna's first recital. Said she did a good job. He did so good. Had vacuumed and did dishes and had flowers for ME! What a GOOD husband.
