David & Connie

We didn't do any ward Christmas party. However we did attend the first annual Yukon Refrigeration Christmas party that was held at Bucca de beppo. (Hum wonder how you spell it) It was nice; David received the salesman of the year! With a bonus and a honey baked ham that we enjoyed on Christmas day. It was a GREAT party we enjoyed it.

We've had real nice temps until the week before Christmas then it was a week of light rain. NICE.

We went to Reid and Laura's Christmas sacrament meeting. Hanna sang with the primary and Laura was involved in the Choir plus accompanying, it was great.

We had our 23rd Joseph Smith Birthday celebration. Pizza around the Christmas tree, and all told one thing we remembered about Joseph Smith. Schulthies, Ballards, Justin and family, Angie and Brian, we missed our Texas kids, but were thinking of them. We then did white elephant gifts, I got the funniest one. Hanna had brought her octopus singing toy and a clock. It was a lot of fun. While we were drawing white elephant gifts Santa came bounding in through the door with a bag of gifts. After he handed out a gift to everyone he compared how he came without notice or warning, just like Christ will. And that Christ gave us the best gift of all. It was good.

Julie and Mckae stayed overnight and then went back the next morning for Mckae to go to work.

Christmas day we slept in til about 6:30 we went to Justin and Fiola's to see what Santa had brought them. Then we went to Schulthies to see what they got, then we had Belgium waffles with them. Came back home and started Christmas dinner, Reid got to pick, sit down traditional or just hit and miss sandwiches and snacks. He chose traditional which was GREAT. Then Reid and I watched the football game. It was a great day. I got just what I wanted, a new juicer, however I got it early because I saw the package.

The last week of December was cold....about 18*. Below normal temp. We set a new record temp High 38* which is 18* below our norm.

Mom's been sick for the last couple of months, throw up, throw up, throw up, cough, cough. But is starting to feel better. I have been real busy with work, but I like it that way. I'm sure glad I'm not Andy living in Rigby Id this time of year.

Stayed up on New Year’s Eve and watched "For the Love of the Game" then watched the fireworks.

My Christmas memory: always sneaking downstairs and the squeaking door and Mom and Dad would holler out you kids get back to bed. Having to do chores on Christmas morning.
My Dad memory: Him harvesting alfalfa seed in the fall without a cab on the combine he would have just black dust ALL over on him and he would jump in the tub and leave nothing but a film of scum on the bottom.
