I can't believe it is September. The funeral started off our month. It was a joyous occasion in knowing that she was with Dad now, and we got to see many long time friends and relatives that we hadn't seen for years. It was nice that Betty Jo and Brian could fly in and be with us.
This is David's favorite month I think. The start of the NFL season. He loves his Monday night football. He has the theme song as his ringtone. It is great, because now he likes to have calls forwarded to him so he can hear it. I don't mind at all =*) It’s especially nice when Reid comes to join in the watching. (Reid now has me in FANTASY football; it is fun, but very nerve wracking)
On Sept. 4, Hanna, our first grandchild was baptized. We were sad Bart wasn't with us but I'm sure her and Papa Jim were watching. I was blessed in getting to give the talk on the Holy Ghost. Their Stake does it on a ward level so Hanna got to help plan the baptism, Grandma Sue and I were the speakers....What a special tender day as I witnessed Hanna taking her first step on the path to our Heavenly Father after just witnessing the last step of Mom here on earth. The cycle of life continues.
We had a very busy week at work trying to play catch up....this is a busy time of year trying to get seminary set up, we have reports due and I am no where close to having them ready to go.... So I'll be putting in the hours again.
We had a very special "Grandparents" day at the Schulthies. We went to church with them and then enjoyed dinner with them. It is so fun to have grandchildren. I really miss my Texas ones. But am looking forward to Thanksgiving when they will all be here.
We have still been looking for a home. We would like to move west over closer by David’s work. Mostly he wants to get away from the motorcycle cops on Grand Teton.
We love Monday nights when Reid comes to watch football. He is a good sport to let Dad explain everything to him....its funny to watch.
I went to St George and spent the day with Julie I had an eye appointment and Julie (she works there) convinced me to try contacts... just one problem I have bad near sight and far sight so they have one prescription in one eye and the other prescription in the other eye. So basically I can’t see far and I can’t see near, so I don't know that they are going to work. =*)
I stayed the night and the Schulthies also came up so Reid could go hiking with Mckae. They did the "Subway" in Zion. Hanna was excited to get to ride horses and Brielle was a real little cowgirl. She loved to go fast.
Work has been good we have still been busy looking for a house, but can't find what we want in our budget. But it has given me something to do; I have really missed having Mom around.
We ended the month in the temple all day for our Stake day. It was nice. We're looking forward to conference this weekend.
