We started spring break off with a bang. First on General conference Sunday, poor little Charlie snuck off to the Relief Society room and pulled the big heavy portable wooden pulpit down on his head. Smashed & cut his face, requiring 10 stitches. PLEASE GO TO YOUR CHURCH and make sure there is not a wooden pulpit on a table cloth. Better yet, throw the darn thing away. That’s the 2nd time it’s happened in our church, and is a safety hazard. The good news is Charlie is healing well, and is as happy as ever.
The next day we got rear-ended in an intersection by a large SUV in our rental car. The good news is it was a company rental and they’d purchased the CDW (which I never get). Our necks are no longer sore after a week…
After that we left the kids with Grandma & Grandpa who have spoiled them royally while Melinda & I went on a short trip to Europe. A little time in Berlin, then Prague, then London, and we’re flying back home now. We just found out Melinda’s 22 year old nephew (Rylan Simmons) passed away, so we will likely be traveling to Utah briefly for the funeral.
Overall we have been extremely blessed, and in spite of a few hardships, we have seen the Lord’s hand in each of them. We love you all!
