Gregory & Melinda's Aug-Sept

One of the best parts of our month is when we drove out to Dallas to watch BYU beat Oklahoma in the new Dallas Cowboy's stadium. That was a lot of fun. (I'm going to continue to think about that game rather than the FSU game...yuck).

We also spent some time with Melinda's brother Matt in Dallas, and used his home to throw up the nice dinner they made us due to a little stomach flu... Nicolas & I (Greg) were the only ones to suffer it (until the next day when Matt's family got it too...) We left their house at 9pm on Sunday, arriving in Nashville at 7am Monday (labor day) morning--just in time to run in the Franklin, TN 10k. Nothing like a 6 mile run after a night of driving. Then Amelia ran in a 1k, and despite getting trampled by the bigger kids at the starting line, she finished strong. We were proud of her. :)

I celebrated my 35th b-day by playing some ultimate frisbee with some friends. It was an extraordinary game, not the least surprising part being that none of us old fogies got injured!

Melinda & Greg also dropped Amelia & Nicolas off at Grandma & Grandpa's in Atlanta and go up north to a wedding in Maine. It was fun to see that state, then spend some time in Boston, visiting the old stomping grounds.

Overall it's been a great 2 months.
